 I rarely mention restaurants here, because although they may do great coffee, it’s not really their focus. But I feel like Muan deserves a shout-out because of their Thai coffee.

Sequestered away in a corner of Brixton’s indoor market, it gives an authentic feel with it’s plastic covered tabletops and array of thai products to pick up. A vegan restaurant that’s quick and plentiful – I adore their pad that and spicy ‘beef’ but the beverage is worth equal mention.

An iced concoction of coconut milk, vegan evaporated milk and a touch of salt on strong, very dark coffee – the juxtaposition of sweet and sour really punches you awake with its prominent flavour and refreshing take on a Thai classic.

Well worth the visit for a meal and drinks if you’re in the area.
